Volunteer Virtually

Virtual Volunteering with NoRTH

The Financial Wellness Center and Non-Resident Tax Help group have come together to increase access to tax preparation services. We are so excited about this partnership, and we are so grateful to be able to provide this service to our community members.

The NoRTH partnership is unique because it serves not only University of Utah students, but faculty and staff as well. NoRTH hosts an assisted self-filing site where taxpayers are empowered to prepare their taxes with the help of knowledgeable and IRS-certified volunteers.

If you are a University of Utah student who prefers a virtual setting, is enrolled in a UOnline program, or is unable to commute to campus, this is a great way to get involved with our program in a setting that supports you.

This program sees a wide variety of returns and provides an abundance of hands-on experience. As a virtual volunteer, you will gain client-facing skills, provide excellent service to our taxpayers, grow as a communicator, and learn a whole lot about preparing taxes. We would love to have you on board with us for TY 2026!
